Reynolda Gardens Ex. 2

February 10, 2010

1. The biggest problem we encountered was trying to find times when we both could do the filming and work on the edits. Because of this Jared was able to capture most of the footage and I was able to help in the edit bay. This was a bit difficult because I was not sure what exactly he was able to capture.

2. I think the biggest success would be the capturing of the squirel on camera. In most of the shots there was not much action occuring. The luckiness of seeing the squirel adds a bit of life to our scenery.

3. This inspired future projects that may have to due with nature and animals. Seeing the film of the squirel was definitely interesting and it was fun to see something being filmed that didn’t know it was being filmed.

4. The theme of the this film was to capture what occurs in Reynolda Gardens and the types of images a person can experience if they ever visit the place. The modd is set by the audio of how quite the gardens are except for the cars that pass by and the dripping of the water. It is extremely peaceful and the rain drops add to the peacefulness of the entire scenery. This film is able to show the essence of the Gardens by portraying is relaxing and peaceful surroundings.

Interview Documentary

January 28, 2010

This was my first time using Final Cut Pro.
I thought this project was a success because I was able to follow all the requirements without messing up too often.
I could not remember how to cut multiple sections of a clip and then put it into the time line.
A better way we could have done the interviews was to make sure every person answered the question by restating the interviewers question. Also it would be better to film the interviews in a quieter setting.
